How can we visualise multiple types of data at the same time? What findings can multilayered information reveal about the urban landscape? To explore these questions and understand how different datasets can inform urban design, students worked in groups during a one-week workshop to investigate waste production data from the city of Lausanne. By creating visual prototypes, they explored ways to combine district-level waste information, demographic factors, and other relevant figures to identify patterns that might guide better resource allocation and highlight potential areas for improvement.
